Our commitment
This statement covers the Renttix website, renttix.com, in every language it is published in. It does not cover the Renttix application you sign in to.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and to go beyond it where that is practical.
This statement describes where the site is today. It is not a claim of full conformance or a certification.
What we have done
The site was rebuilt with accessibility designed in from the start. In particular:
- Pages use semantic HTML and landmarks (header, navigation, main content and footer), so you can move around them quickly with a screen reader.
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing on every page.
- Every link, button and form field shows a clearly visible focus indicator.
- The navigation, the menu (a native dialog), the language switcher and the “Follow one hire” walkthrough all work with a keyboard. In the walkthrough, the arrow keys move between stages.
- The contrast of every text colour has been checked. In the light theme, body text has a contrast ratio of at least 7:1.
- Status is never shown by colour alone: it always comes with a shape and a word.
- Text can be resized to 200%, and pages reflow to fit screens as narrow as 320 pixels without scrolling sideways.
- Nothing loops or plays for more than a moment: the hire tag settles once when the page opens and moves only when you change a stage. If you turn on reduced motion, nothing moves at all.
- There are light and dark themes, and Windows forced-colours (high contrast) mode is supported.
- Forms have visible labels and support autocomplete. If something needs correcting, an error summary lists each problem and links to the field.
- The site is available in 16 languages, including Arabic, which is laid out right to left.
- On larger screens the interactive product demo starts once the page has loaded, without moving focus. If you have reduced motion or data saving turned on, it waits until you ask for it. On phones, the homepage shows the driver app instead.
Known limitations
Some parts of the site do not yet work as well as they should:
- The interactive product demo is a rebuild of the Renttix app. We are making it fully operable with a keyboard and a screen reader, but some parts may still need a mouse.
- Some articles and guides contain images whose alternative text is still being improved.
- Third-party content, such as embedded maps and payment providers, is outside our direct control.

How we test
We check the site with:
- automated checks using axe and Lighthouse
- manual testing with a keyboard alone
- spot checks with screen readers
- zoom and reflow checks, at 200% text size and at 320 pixels wide.
